This year’s Christmas Fair saw record-breaking attendance, with the longest run to date and an exceptional selection of exhibitors and stalls. Each day contributed to the success of this edition, which was appreciated by visitors as a place for interesting and valuable shopping, not just a place to spend leisure time.
The record number of media appearances, with an audience of over 68 million and an average value of €2.5 million, contributed to the Fair’s popularity. Our Facebook page has also passed the 100,000 fan mark and our published material has reached over 5.7 million people on this platform.
More than 5600 children attended Santa’s Workshop during the six weeks. Exhibitors were satisfied with this edition, with 86% saying they were satisfied, and for 70% of them, the 2022 edition was even better than the record-breaking 2019 edition.
We estimate that there were over 250,000 visitors from other locations in total, generating revenues for the local economy well in excess of €10 million over the period. Taking only overnight stays into account, they numbered over 100,000 in November and December, with an average budget of €100/day spent on accommodation, meals, shopping and leisure.
The Christmas Fair was a success this year and we expect to break records in years to come.
The 2023 edition will start on 17 November.
