Santa's Workshop

Every year, over 4,000 children visit Santa’s Workshop. For this year’s edition, we have considered a wide range of proposals, in order to meet the desire of artistic, aesthetic and plastic manifestation of the little ones. Thus, we aimed to stimulate creative skills and abilities, giving children the opportunity to work in teams, in a festive environment, under the guidance of specialists, in Santa’s Workshop.

The workshops are aimed at children aged 5 to 9 . Participants will keep their little “artwork” and receive “qualification” diplomas and a group photo.

The cost of the workshops is 30 lei per participant and reservations are made for a minimum of 15 participants.

Teachers/educators will be issued with a certificate for participation in extracurricular activities.

For schools, kindergartens and organised groups: participation in the workshops is from Monday to Friday, starting between 08:00 and 17:00 and lasts 40 minutes. Visits are by online appointment only, using the special form, subject to availability.

For the public: Saturday and Sunday workshops are open to all visitors without prior appointment, Saturday 12:00 – 20:00 and Sunday 12:00 – 20:00.

The Little Printer

Workshop to create Christmas cards using ancient methods

Period: 18 - 24 November 2023

In this exciting workshop, little ones will have the privilege of seeing authentic printing presses that have stood the test of time. It’s a rare opportunity to come into direct contact with these technological gems of yesteryear. Children will learn to compose and print their own artwork – a Christmas card, using old-fashioned hand-press methods, without electricity, as in Johannes Gutenberg’s time. This workshop is put into practice together with professionals from MATS – Sibiu Printing Workshop Museum, who share their passion for the art of printing and its fascinating history with the little ones. By participating in this workshop, children will learn not only about the past of printing, but also about the importance and beauty of this art in today’s world. It is an unforgettable educational and cultural experience for the little ones.

Period: 25 November - 1 December 2023

Here, children will be able to choose from a variety of colours to create their own Christmas candles by dipping the wick in wax. With each dip, the candle takes on a new hue and glow, transforming it into a true custom work of art. This workshop develops children’s manual skills and encourages interaction. At the same time, the activity is also an exercise in patience, teaching the little ones to respect the algorithms needed to create a quality finished product. They will have the opportunity to learn this exhilarating technique and develop their skills in a fun and educational way. Each child will go home with a unique candle, created with love and imagination, ready to bring holiday light into their homes.

Gingerbread painting and decorating workshop

Period: 2 - 8 December 2023

The gingerbread painting workshop is a magical place where little ones can use their imagination to create sweet works of art. They will receive sweet cakes that they can decorate using coloured icing, candy or other edible treats. Each decorated gingerbread becomes a little work of art and a sweet and delicious keepsake for children, and for parents, a precious reminder of the special moments spent with their little ones during the holidays.

Period: 9 - 15 December 2023

With the help of sweet dough, rolling pins, shapes and lots of imagination, children will be able to create the most delicious and beautiful biscuits. This workshop not only encourages the development of creativity and skill, but promotes hygienic habits and cultivates independence in practical aspects of life. Through play, this experience nurtures children’s native playful and creative spirit, giving them the joy of cooking and culinary creations.

Here, each globe becomes a blank canvas that children can transform into a unique and precious ornament, with children encouraged to develop and express their creativity. The balloon painting workshop is a wonderful experience that adds a touch of originality and joy to the winter holidays. It’s a perfect way to create family memories and encourage little artists to develop their skills and imagination in a magical Christmas environment. At the end, the children will have their own decorated Christmas balls, suitable to decorate the tree or to give to loved ones.
