Every year, over 4,000 children visit Santa’s Workshop. For this year’s edition, we have considered a wide range of proposals, in order to meet the desire of artistic, aesthetic and plastic manifestation of the little ones. Thus, we aimed to stimulate creative skills and abilities, giving children the opportunity to work in teams, in a festive environment, under the guidance of specialists, in Santa’s Workshop.

The workshops are aimed at children aged between 5 and 9. Participants will keep their small artwork and receive certificates of qualification and a group photo. The cost of attending the workshops is 40 lei per participant and reservations are made (and paid) for a minimum of 15 participants. Online payment is not required to make a reservation. Payment is only made on the day of participation, in the Workshop.

Teachers/educators will be issued with a certificate for participation in extracurricular activities.

For schools, kindergartens and organised groups: participation in the workshops is from Monday to Friday, starting between 08:00 and 17:00 and lasts 40 minutes. Visits are by online appointment only, using the special form, subject to availability.

For the public: Saturday and Sunday workshops are open to all visitors without prior appointment, Saturday 12:00 – 20:00 and Sunday 12:00 – 20:00.

Children will have the opportunity to create their own Christmas candles, choosing from a variety of colors, using the technique of dipping the wick in wax. With each dip, the candle changes color and glow, becoming a truly personalized work of art. This workshop develops children’s dexterity and encourages collaboration, as well as being an exercise in patience, where they learn to follow the steps needed to produce a quality end product. Through this activity, children will learn an exciting technique and develop their skills in an educational and fun way. At the end, each child will go home with a unique candle, created with care and imagination, ready to bring the festive spirit into their homes.

Using sweet dough, a pastry twister, various cutting shapes and a lot of imagination, children will have the opportunity to create biscuits that are not only delicious but also beautiful. This workshop provides a space in which creativity and manual dexterity are stimulated, encouraging little ones to explore the art of cooking in a fun way. In addition to the creative aspect, the activity also gives them the opportunity to learn essential hygiene habits and to develop autonomy in practical tasks. Through play and exploration, this experience activates children’s natural playfulness, giving them the pleasure of creating their own culinary masterpieces and the joy of discovering how rewarding it can be to get involved in the cooking process.

In this fascinating workshop, children will have the unique opportunity to discover authentic printing presses that have stood the test of time and learn traditional printing techniques. A special element of the activity is the hand-made creation of Christmas card paper, using original paper-making methods, right on the spot. Children will be able to see how paper is created and how they can print an artistic Christmas card themselves on these old presses, without electricity, similar to those of Johannes Gutenberg’s time. This workshop, organized together with specialists from MATS – Typography Workshop Museum Sibiu, offers children an unforgettable experience where they will discover the beauty and history of printing. Their participation will open new horizons, teaching them not only about the past of this art, but also about its relevance in the modern world. A true educational and cultural journey combining tradition with creativity.

In this workshop children will learn an ancient and fascinating artistic technique: mosaic. With small colorful pieces, children will create unique designs, bringing their imagination to life. It’s a wonderful experience, and as well as the pleasure of letting their creativity soar, the activity will also develop their patience, attention to detail and the ability to work meticulously. The result will be a real gem, a perfect frame to display their favorite photo. Discover the magic of mosaic and create unforgettable memories.

Each globe becomes a blank canvas that children can turn into a unique and special Christmas ornament, encouraged to explore and express their creativity freely. The globe painting workshop offers a magical experience, bringing a touch of originality and joy to the winter holidays. It is a wonderful opportunity to create special memories and inspire little artists to develop their skills and imagination in a festive and delightful setting. At the end of the workshop, each child will go home with their own hand-decorated Christmas bauble, perfect for decorating the Christmas tree or as a gift for loved ones.
