By plane, train or car to the Grand Square.
The Sibiu Christmas Market takes place in the Grand Square (Piața Mare), in the historic centre. Entry is free. The square is pedestrian, so the last stretch is on foot.
Sibiu International Airport (SBZ) is about 5 km from the centre, roughly 10–15 minutes by taxi. It has direct flights from several German cities, Vienna, London and other European cities; the current list is on sibiuairport.ro. Tursib buses, including line 11, leave from in front of the terminal. A 60-minute ticket costs 3.5 lei and can be paid contactless on board.
Sibiu railway station is about a 15-minute walk from the Grand Square.
Sibiu is about 145 km from Brașov, 175 km from Cluj-Napoca, 275 km from Bucharest and 300 km from Timișoara. Access is via the A1 motorway (from the west) and the national roads DN1 and DN7.
Pay at the machine, in the ParcareSibiu app, or by SMS to 7420 with the zone code followed by your plate number (for example 324 for one hour in zone A). On December weekends the central car parks fill quickly: arrive early, or park further out and take the bus.
