The Sibiu Christmas Fair is a cultural and touristic project initiated by the Austrian Embassy's Social Attaché, Dr. h.c. Barbara Schöfnagel, and organized by Events for Tourism Association from Sibiu, since 2007 — the year Sibiu was designated European Capital of Culture.
The 2026 edition continues the focus on authenticity, with artisan exhibitor registrations opening on May 1, 2026. Over 120 exhibitors from 36 counties and international locations bring traditional products and crafts.
Christmas magic comes alive in the Grand Square
Over 4,000 children visit yearly. Creative workshops for ages 5–9, with 5 different themes throughout the fair season.
